Old Nonsense

Hyperdoughnuts

Raise your hands up
Cover your eyes
Don't say a word
It won't disguise
These things inside
They grew, they lied
Shivered in life
And as they died

The soul stripped
As the life spread
Between the ears
Out of the head
You watched this
Your eye lingers
Trapped in fist
Caught in fingers

Twist and return
Judgment will rot
Disfigured here
But somehow not
You still live on
In body and face
But mind is mine
In time and space

Back

I lay amongst furniture
In the midst of golden thread
My heartbeat shakes the floorboards
The music rattles inside my head

This lonely day is slowly dying
As the hours all rot away
Staring at the clock-faces
Whose mouths have nothing to say

Outside the moon taps on glass
And the last angel sits astray
Counting faithful slow hours
All screaming towards Sunday

I feel the feelings burn my cheeks
Hear the wall-shadows' latest lie
Still killed right upon the carpet
As another emotion escapes the eye
